Summary
"Yingge Dance" is a rhythm game in which the player takes the role of a young migrant who drives away evil spirits through Yingge and lights the "four doors" to collect willing powers to help others. The game experiences this fantastic adventure from the perspective of timing-based rhythm game.
Inspiration
As a Teochew native, I have a deep love for the culture of the region where I live. As a branch of Chinese traditional culture, Chaoshan culture has been marginalized due to regional, language and cultural differences. I've seen a lot of documentaries about Chaoshan culture, but no one has tried to present it in games. It also gave me a new entry point. I want to share Chaoshan culture with people in a different way, not only through videos and paintings, but also through games.
